No Stamps Got Lost

No stamps got lost despite the combined
Energies of all ten of her offspring;
Wise, she settled them down for bowls of cholent,
Then sent them out to dig carrots.

Peanut butter calories, too, fueled their playful jests,
Even with boborygmuses in all of the tweens.
‘seems no stanchion better served those scions
Than learning to make nice to twirps and hedgehogs.

Simpletons, after all, quickly weary of watching
Unit members decimating chickweed or petunias;
It’s safer for small, uncomplicated folk
To work with a suppliers from China.

About the Author:
KJ Hannah Greenberg, who only pretends at being indomitable, tramps across literary genres and still giggles in her sleep. As well, she eats oatmeal and keeps company with a hibernaculum of sometimes rabid imaginary hedgehogs that takes bites out of brooding critics, uncomplimentary readers, and assorted nocturnal terrors.Twice nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Hannah unabashedly uses word play to poke at culture. Her two newest collections are A Bank Robber's Bad Luck with His Ex-Girlfriend, Unbound CONTENT, 2011, poetry, and Don't Pet the Sweaty Things, Bards & Sages Publishing, 2012, short fictions. **Update: Greenberg's book Intelligence's Vast Bonfires was just published, in Kindle form, by Lazarus Media.
